Apple iPhone Air 256 GB, Sky Blue, Sky Blue, eSIM
Who said that the flagship iPhone has to be big, with lots of cameras and features that only professional videographers can understand? Technological superiority can be demonstrated in various ways – Apple thought and created the iPhone Air. Not 17 Air, but just Air. In an incredibly thin case made of premium materials, powerful and mesmerizing at first glance. And the thickness here is not even a compromise, because everything that we love the iPhone for remains here, and in the best possible way.
The iPhone Air's screen is typically modern and uniquely flagship. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, is made using OLED technology and is pleased with a high pixel density of 460 PPI, and the peak brightness on the street reaches 3,000 nits. But the most interesting thing here is the diagonal: it's 6.5 inches. It's easy to type with the hand you're holding the device in, it's nice to watch videos, and it can easily fit into any pocket or clutch. Or maybe it's worth taking and standardizing this size?
The thickness of the iPhone Air is only 5.6 mm. To make it so thin, Apple placed almost all the main components in the very ledge where the rear camera is located. The smartphone's frame is made of particularly durable titanium, so you don't have to worry about bending it. In addition, the titanium here is also polished to a mirror shine, and the back is made of durable Ceramic Shield glass to match. The same branded glass, but newer and more durable (Ceramic Shield 2) protects the iPhone Air display.
Looking at the iPhone Air, it might seem that Apple has slashed performance to make the smartphone so thin. But no, the top-end A19 Pro is here, just like in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. Only the graphics and AI accelerators are slightly stripped down, but even so, the iPhone Air is more productive than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, not to mention the iPhone 17. In everyday tasks, the A19 Pro is faster than the previous flagship A18 Pro by about 10%, but in terms of working with neural networks, the increase is threefold. And even in the virtual worlds of AAA games, if desired, you can wander - hardware ray tracing is also available, but it is important to remember that the smartphone does not cool as efficiently as the Pro-line models.
The iPhone Air has only one rear camera. 48-megapixel, with a high-power lens (f/1.6 aperture), 2x zoom, matrix shift stabilization, 4K video recording with Dolby Vision and a movie effect in the same resolution, as well as with Smart HDR 5 algorithms, Photonic Engine, photographic styles, portrait support with blur depth adjustment background and a bunch of other features. But alone. And this is probably the moment when you should just think: do you need an ultra-wide-angle module, a macro and a separate zoom camera with a high zoom?
But where the iPhone Air definitely shines, like all iPhone models introduced in the fall of 2025, is the front–facing camera. Not only has it received a resolution of 18 Megapixels, but it is also notable for its square sensor, which allows you to take selfies and record videos in horizontal and vertical positions, regardless of how you hold your smartphone. It also supports dual video recording at the same time as the main camera and has received the Center Stage function, keeping you in the center of the frame during video chats (the function does not work in all applications).
The main fear of buying an iPhone Air is, perhaps, the battery. It seems that in such a smartphone it simply cannot be capacious. As it turned out, it can. Since the battery occupies almost the entire back and there is not even a physical SIM card slot in the device, Apple has managed to achieve the same levels of autonomy as the iPhone 16 Pro. The smartphone can withstand up to 27 hours of video viewing, and Apple's proprietary N1 wireless chip and C1X modem have further enhanced its autonomy.
When there are so many interesting stands, holders and external batteries with MagSafe, charging a smartphone with a wire becomes boring. Fortunately, the iPhone Air can be charged equally quickly via USB-C or using MagSafe. With Qi2 support and using a 30-watt power source, it will take the same 30 minutes to charge up to 50% using MagSafe as with wired charging. The advantage of using USB-C here is that the required power of the power adapter is less than 20 watts.
Switching to iPhone Air is also the best way to evaluate "liquid glass" and other iOS innovations, because it is simply impossible to evaluate an iPhone separately from its system. The whole Apple philosophy is that the device itself and its interface are one. The user experience is formed not from pixels and hertz "on paper", but from the device as a whole. Cloud services, the choice of applications, interaction with other Apple devices and accessories, and even the meticulous study of each interface icon are the very "drops" that fill the sea of pleasant impressions from any iPhone.
